Build the mechanism before memorizing the list.
A topic can feel familiar in a textbook and still be difficult to use in a question. In a Step 1 session, we can work backward from that gap: what is the question asking you to recognize, and which underlying concept makes the clues fit together?
The teaching draws connections across physiology, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, and anatomy. We choose the subjects that need attention rather than moving through a fixed sequence of lectures.
What we can work on together
Make the concept clear
Choose a difficult mechanism or system. We develop the explanation live on the whiteboard, with room for questions as each connection takes shape.
Connect the clues
Relate the mechanism to the findings and wording that appear in a question. Explain which details help distinguish one possibility from another.
Work through the choices
Compare the possible answers and explain why one fits. When the reasoning breaks down, return to the specific concept that needs more attention.
Plan your first session
Bring a topic or question set you find difficult. Dr. Batista develops the explanation live on a virtual whiteboard, and you can ask questions throughout. Every session is taught by Dr. Batista personally.
A single 90-minute session is currently $135 USD. Packages are also available. See the current prices and package details, or check availability before paying.
You can watch a short class sample and hear existing student testimonials to see the teaching and learn about individual experiences. Tutoring is personalized; it does not guarantee a score or exam outcome.
